Description
The PT 50 is a 2,000t class crane. The PT50 has the same footprint as the PTC 35 (DS) but offers 25% additional lift capacity. It exerts low ground pressures and requires less preparation work to deploy than other cranes in its class. This is due to a compact design with integral load spreading, while its ring design eliminates tail swing as it does not require any suspended ballast. The PT 50 is constructed so that all its parts fit within the maximum allowable legal load dimensions, thereby making it easier to mobilize to site. It can be relocated on site quickly using an integral crawler system or SPMT. Its A-frame design allows it to operate in and withstand higher wind speeds than cranes with similar capacities, giving it a wider operational window.
