Heavy Duty Mechanic

Job description

Mammoet is currently looking for an energetic individual to join our Fort McMurray branch as a heavy duty mechanic. This position requires a candidate with an excellent work ethic, ability to travel and willingness to learn new things in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities (including but not limited to) • Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner • Carry all work out in accordance with Mammoet HSE/SHE-Q, Business, and Mammoet client policies and procedures, including the use of all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) • Ensures compliance with all HSE/SHE-Q responsibilities as per HSE/SHE-Q manuals • Carry out repairs/maintenance in a safe way according to manufacture’s manual and corporate Safety manual • Report all near misses and incidents to supervision or management • Diagnose and/or determine technical problems • Perform regular inspection of all equipment within the department • Documents all repairs and parts replacement for equipment files • Able to read, understand and follow hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagrams • Performs regular maintenance of equipment/material within the department • Performs/executes repairs on equipment within the department • Mentor apprentices • Other duties as assigned by EMD supervision

Reports to

This position reports to the Service Manager in the Maintenance department.

Education & experience

• Journeyman trade certificate (Red Seal preferred) • Supervisory/leadership, basic computer knowledge and strong organizational skills and experience will be an asset. • Minimum of 5 years work experience
