The new standard for heavy lifting in confined spaces

The Mammoet Focus is a high capacity pedestal crane that can work in confined areas with limited ground bearing pressure. Because it can be assembled vertically, safety risks involved with crane assembly over live structures are eliminated. Its strength and unique technical features enable greater efficiency in upgrade and turnaround projects as well as inner city civil works.

The Mammoet Focus is the ideal lifting machine for use in areas with complex infrastructure and space limitations, such as plants and inner cities. It has the capacity, versatility and reach to work in and around different layouts and requires a minimum amount of space for assembly and operation. Its small footprint helps optimize the plant layout of brownfield projects.

The revolutionary design of the SK cranes was developed to optimise flexibility in their configuration, maximise effective operation for a range of site conditions and to meet the latest, most stringent safety standards. The PTC cranes optimize construction and turnaround projects by enabling more efficient approaches to lifting and installing components. They offer solutions when oversized and heavy objects have to be installed or upgrades need to be carried out in confined areas.

The Mammoet Terminal Crane, MTC 15 unlocks smarter routes for heavy cargo. It quickly and simply turns any quay into a heavy lift terminal, unlocking faster and more efficient routes for heavy cargo. Easily mobilized, assembled and disassembled, it provides a simple yet effective way to lift heavy loads in remote locations without the need for ground reinforcement works.

Heavy industries are crossing new frontiers every day to satisfy the demand for more energy, materials and infrastructure across the planet. A solution to extreme tidal ranges

A unique mobile port solution designed to load and unload in tidal ranges up to 10 meters using a sophisticated ballasting system. With unparalleled tidal compensation capabilities and 100% redundancy in its ballasting systems, the Hydro Deck can dramatically improve the overall project delivery schedule as well as quayside and cargo vessel utilisation through optimised logistics.

The Hydro Deck is a versatile transition pontoon for movements from vessel to quayside where port or load-in locations are subject to extreme tidal variations. Developed in conjunction with AG&P, it works in conjunction with a modular offloading facility to form the gateway for on-shoring modules and other infrastructure needed for complex projects.

Revolutionizing heavy transport efficiency

Mammoet’s Trailer Power Assist-system increases heavy transport efficiency and safety – whilst significantly lowering the carbon footprint.

The TPA-system has been initiated by Mammoet and developed in cooperation with SCHEUERLE, the leading manufacturer of heavy transport vehicles. TPA is based on the SCHEUERLE K25 trailer, which is fitted with a Power Pack Unit (PPU) that hydraulically powers 4 of the 6 axle lines. The PPU is mounted at one or either end of the trailer, depending on the configuration – or can be placed on the prime mover to replace the counterweight for traction. Each PPU is powered by a MTU V12 diesel engine, compliant with all emission requirements, that generates 1,000 horsepower and a traction power of over 40 tons. The TPA system is specified for all weather extremes.

Self-Propelled Modular Transporter

Self-Propelled Modular Transporters consist of different modules with 4, 5, 6 and 8 axle lines. Load capacity differs per version, with a maximum of up to 44 tons per axle line. Each module can be fitted with its own engine and control (steering) system. The modules can be connected side-by-side and/or head-to-tail, to form large ‘platforms on wheels’. 

SPMT’s have the possibility of 360 degree steering of the wheels. This allows carrousel and sideway movements. Their deck height can hydraulically be adjusted by approximately 60 cm., enabling vertical lifting or lowering of the load. Due to their variety of combinations, SPMTs can lift and move virtually every heavy load. These trailers are mainly used for on-site transportation over limited distances

Innovative, sustainable solution improves the bearing capacity of the soil for heavy lifting projects

Heavy industry construction and turnaround projects have a common requirement – the need for a solid foundation to support equipment and structures. In many cases the access roads and construction areas for projects must be reinforced to accommodate cranes, transporters and their loads.

Gravel, mats, concrete slabs and other materials are traditionally used for this purpose. But these materials are often heavy and can therefore add to the weight applied to the ground, causing settlement problems. These materials also need to be transported to and from site, resulting in additional cost and environmental impact.

A revolutionary method for calculating the dynamic stability of hydraulic trailers

Dynamic Stability provides clients with a detailed assessment of the safety level of their transport project before it commences. The assessment deals with more relevant parameters than customary in the industry up till now. It therefore allows hydraulic transport projects to be executed more safely.

In some cases, Dynamic Stability will also contribute towards more efficient ways of using hydraulic trailers. Dynamic Stability is a Mammoet method and was developed in-house. It has been verified and approved by classification society DNV. Mammoet will be using Dynamic Stability for all hydraulic transport projects from now on.
