Mammoet has moved its Malaysian operations to Tanjung Langsat in Johor Bahru to meet the needs of customers more efficiently.
While operations have been based in Nilai, near Kuala Lumpur, for the past 20 years, the new office and yard are now located within the Tanjung Langsat Port area. This provides greater access to water transport and more timely mobilization as a result. A commercial office will remain in Kuala Lumpur so Mammoet can respond quickly to customers across the country.
Managing Director Asia Pacific, John Halfweeg, said the strategic move would place Mammoet in a better position to serve its customers in the region. “The move was essential to ensuring we can mobilize our equipment as quickly as possible for our customers,” he said. “The new location in Tanjung Langsat enables us to do this. Being closer to the water improves our connection with our customers. I am proud of the brand new facilities and the set-up of the new yard.”
Mammoet celebrated the opening of the new yard with a ribbon-cutting ceremony performed by Ms. Cecilia Khoo, Mammoet Asia Pacific’s longest employee of 44 years.
Mammoet has been delivering heavy lifting and transportation solutions in Malaysia for over 43 years and is committed to continuously improving its services to customers in the area. Asia Pacific regional headquarters are located in Singapore.
